Kelly Ecozone Project
The Kelly Economic Zone covers 133 hectares and is located in Barangay Gumatdang, Itogon, Benguet. This area has been declared as an Economic Zone designated under Presidential Proclamation No. 1248. Its PEZA Certificate of Registration was renewed on August 18, 2021. The Kelly property is envisioned as a Special Mixed-Use Economic Zone with significant potential for industrial development and townsite planning.
The first phase will cover the development of the 36 hectares titled and fully owned Company property, while the second phase will encompass the remaining 97 hectares, which shall be developed into various socio-economic and environmental enhancements of the area.
Calhorr
The Calhorr Land Development project is situated in Kias, Virac, Itogon. Benguet holds significant potential for real estate venture, including establishing an agroforestry ecotourism site, creating a Retirement Village, and developing a middle- to high-end mixed residential area featuring low-rise and single-detached homes. This project aims to blend sustainable practices with modern living, promoting environmental stewardship while providing high-quality lifestyle options.
Irisan Residences
The Irisan Residences (real estate project), located in Irisan, Baguio City, is just 5 km from the Central Business District and spans a total area of 1.85 hectares. The area is presently utilized for lime kiln operation and production.
The proposed future land use for this site includes the development of mid-rise condominiums and commercial facilities. This project aims to maximize the strategic location of Irisan, enhancing residential and commercial infrastructure while contributing to the economic and social upliftment of the area.
Bulk Water Project
Benguet Corporation is embarking on sourcing water supply with its Bulk Water Project. This initiative is set to establish a bulk water supply system in Baguio City, utilizing an underground water resource with a minimum of 40,0000 cubic meters per day (CMD) of free-flowing water. This volume can be increased through improved pumping stages and infrastructure. The project aims to ensure a sustainable and quality water source for Baguio City.
Antamok Group (Tuding, Loacan, Antamok Areas)
3 water sources with a total volume of 88.28 liters per second (lps) or 7,627 CMD.
Acupan/Balatoc Group (Acupan, Balatoc, Virac, Ampucao)
17 water sources with a total volume of 3,073.07 lps or 265,513 CMD.
Others (Tuba, Baguio City, Itogon)
11 water sources with a total volume of 3,547.64 lps or 306,516 CMD.
There are 31 other water sources permitted in the Company’s name in connection with its mineral holdings, with a combined volume of 6,708.99 lps or 579,656 CMD for potential use in the Bulk Water Project.
Renewable Energy
Benguet Renewable Energy Corporation
The Benguet Renewable Energy Corporation is developing a solar farm located in Aglao, San Marcelino, Zambales, spanning an area of 388.7648 hectares. This property, acquired by Benguet Corporation from Dizon Copper Mine in the early 1980s, is traversed by the prominent Sto. Tomas River. The solar farm is estimated to have a plant capacity of 400-500 MW, contributing significantly to the region's renewable energy output. A pre-application for this project has been submitted to the Department of Energy, marking a crucial step toward enhancing sustainable energy infrastructure.
Agriculture
Bamboo Plantation
Benguet Corporation is exploring locations in Zambales and Benguet for bamboo production to generate alternative revenue while rehabilitating its MPSA and non-MPSA areas. This initiative targets markets such as bamboo handicrafts, bamboo charcoal, plastic substitutes, beauty and wellness products, and school educational materials. By promoting bamboo's versatility and sustainability, the Company aims to support eco-friendly industries and contribute to economic growth while ensuring responsible resource management.
Agribusiness/ Agroforestry
Benguet Corporation is advancing its agribusiness and agroforestry initiatives in prospective locations within Zambales and Benguet Provinces. The sustainable agroforestry program is in its initial phase at BRMC, BGO, and Antamok. Transforming these areas into agroforestry zones is part of the government's recommended land use strategy for post-mining rehabilitation, integrating mined-out areas into productive and sustainable landscapes.
The Company is also venturing into other regions for its agri-industrial projects, such as coconut farming development in Western Samar and Leyte. The plan is to secure a permit from the DENR to utilize 10,000 hectares for coconut cultivation and eventually expand to 20,000 hectares, adding bamboo and other tree species into the mix.
Coffee & Cacao Farm
The Coffee & Cacao Farm project in Itogon, Benguet, plans to establish a 5-hectare coffee plantation and a 1-hectare cacao plantation as part of a community agroforestry initiative and smallholder tree farming program. It aims to distribute cloned seedlings of coffee and cacao to local smallholder tree farms and farmers' associations, facilitated by a central nursery in Virac for sustained seedling support. Beneficiaries include Benguet Corporation employees with land in Itogon, upland farmers, and cooperatives adhering to the project's agroforestry guidelines. Schools will also benefit through environmental education initiatives aligned with the National Greening Program, targeting markets interested in sustainably grown local agricultural products.
Ecotourism
Balatoc Mines Tour
The Balatoc Mines Tour in Itogon, Benguet, is the first underground mine adventure in Itogon, Benguet. Visitors ride mine locomotives through the Vegas Tunnel, which goes deep into the mountainside, giving them firsthand experience of past mining practices and educating them about the local mining heritage. The tour exemplifies a successful integration of mining and tourism.

Crosby Park is envisioned as a vibrant hub for recreation, wellness, and ecotourism, designed to cater to locals and tourists alike. Nestled in a serene natural surrounding, Crosby Park provides opportunities for physical fitness and mental rejuvenation amidst nature's beauty.
Bobok Tourism
Bobok Tourism envisions the development of 10,000 hectares of pine forests in Bokod, Benguet, into an ecotourism destination. This ambitious project aims to create a complex of wilderness trails, nature lodges, and summer camps, catering primarily to the middle to high-end tourism markets interested in adventure within a forest wilderness setting. Bobok Tourism aims to preserve the area's ecological integrity and provide sustainable economic opportunities for local communities through responsible tourism practices.
