Benguet Corporation’s subsidiaries, Benguet Gold Operations (BGO) and Benguetcorp Resources Management Corporation (BRMC) internal auditors, have completed a comprehensive Internal Auditors’ Training at the Villaluna Center in BGO. The training sessions took place in two phases, on August 29-30 and September 5-6, 2024, covering the ISO 19011:2018 Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems, Aspect-Impact and Compliance Obligation, and Documentation courses based on the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System.
The training was aimed at equipping the company’s internal auditors with the necessary skills and knowledge for conducting audits in the company’s ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems certification. Led by seasoned facilitator Emmie B. Sancon of the TÜV NORD Philippines, Inc., the participants gained a deeper understanding of audit processes, assessment of aspects and impacts, proper documentation, and reporting to ensure that BGO and BRMC continue to maintain their commitment to quality and environmental standards.
Through this training, BGO and BRMC reaffirm their dedication to adhering to best practices in environmental stewardship and minimizing the impact of climate change.
